Description of technological security features of the Passport of the Republic of Lithuania




The Passport (breadth 88 0,75 mm, length 125 0,75 mm corners rounded from 3,18 to 6,35 0,25 mm radius)-contains 32 numbered pages plus a policarbonate personal identification page with data, photo and signature engraved by laser engravers. The Passport of the Republic of Lithuania contains texts in the Lithuanian, English and French languages.
The Passport of the Republic of Lithuania is designed to comply with the EU requirements and the International Civil Aviation (ICAO) recommendations.
Security features of Lithuanian Passport:

Paper

Paper exclusively made for Lithuanian Passport

1.The cover of Passport is made of green leather-like material.
2. Endpaper is neutral under UV light. Visible small red fibres fluoresce orange under UV light and invisible planchettes fluoresce green under UV light.
3. The paper for inside pages is neutral under UV light. The inside pages are stamped with multi-shade watermark - the stylized Coat of Arms and watermarked page numbers. Visible small red fibres fluoresce under UV light and invisible fibres fluoresce green and red under UV light. The security thread contains reversed and unturned micro lettering "LIETUVOS RESPUBLIKA", and fluoresces red, green and yellow under UV.
4. The data page is printed on the multilayer polycarbonate.

1. On the front cover in gold foil are printed the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Lithuania and above and below it - the Lithuanian texts "LIETUVOS RESPUBLIKA" and "PASAS"

2. Offset printing.. Security grids printed in rainbow. One of the colours fluoresces under UV light (1 pic).

17. Offset printing. All pages are covered by security grids printed in rainbow. One of the colours fluoresces under UV light (14 pic).
